Thing 23

Finished! I enjoyed the program especially discovering new things like Delicious and Flickr. I'll be using them from now on

I've had a play around with Encore and I must admit I do like it. I think its Google-like interface will appeal to a lot of students and make searching the catalogue easier. I'm also a big fan of the Tag Cloud with its hierarchal sizing of relevant keywords.

Overall I enjoyed participating in 23 Things, especially experiencing fun, interactive and innovative Library/Web 2.0 applications.

Thing 17

Delicious is a good way of sharing links with others, but most importantly it enables people to access personal links when away from their computers.

The tag component is a useful tool because it offers a different method of searching, and it's a good way of discovering new topics and links. I personally like to use the 'Related Tags' and 'Popular Tags'.

Thing 22

I personally use MSN Messenger at home to chat with friends and family. I use it nearly everyday and love the fact that it's free. Video conferencing is another reason why I regularly use this web based communication tool. You can catch up with family from overseas, without paying a hefty telephone bill, plus you can see them as well.

Microsoft NEW Technology Microsoft Surface

I believe it's one of the best Web 2.0 tools available. There's a lot of copyright issues, but nonetheless a very enjoyable pastime.

Good way to share documents, ideas, photos etc.

Thing 16

I think iGoogle is one of those things that you either love or hate. Personally I don't mind this tool with its ability to be personalised. It does clutter the home page, but it's not as annoying as I expected..

Thing 15

I had a look at Google Book Search for the first time and discovered it to be a great tool for finding books, especially when some of the pages are available for preview.

Thing 10

Google Reader is a great tool to keep up with news. Being a huge NBA fan, the RSS feeder is a good way to keep up with league news and player transactions.
